Hotel Metropole, Santa Margherita Ligure

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were spacious with a super comfy bed but faced a busy road. The staff were very friendly and attentive, especially Antonio who remembered us from a previous visit. The location was great with easy access to a private 'beach' and the train station, but the dining options weren't up to my expectations.

My stay at the hotel was simply delightful! The rooms were lovely with a double balcony providing breathtaking views of the grounds and the sea. They were spacious, equipped with an in-room safe and mini-bar, which was a nice touch. However, I found the 'junior suite' a bit small and not exactly as advertised in the photos. The service was exceptional, with the staff being friendly and helpful, particularly Luis and Marida who went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The location was fantastic, boasting a beautiful garden leading down to a private 'beach' with easy access to the ocean, although it was a bit noisy at times. The dining experience was delectable, especially on the terrace, and the selection of food was top-notch. Overall, a wonderful experience with a few minor hiccups.
